Terms and conditions of carriage
These terms apply to parcels collected in Australia and delivered domestically, interstate or overseas by Aramex Australia.
1. Agreement to carry
By handing a parcel to Aramex Australia or booking a collection, the sender accepts these conditions of carriage on behalf of themselves and the receiver.
2. Packaging and contents
The sender is responsible for packaging goods to withstand normal handling across the Australian courier and freight network, and for declaring contents accurately.
3. Prohibited and restricted items
Dangerous goods, illegal items, live animals, cash and irreplaceable items must not be sent. Items restricted under Australian state or Commonwealth law may be refused or returned at the sender's cost.
4. Delivery options
Where Authority to Leave is selected, a parcel left in a location the courier judges reasonably safe is treated as delivered. Where Signature is selected, delivery requires a person at the address to accept the parcel.
5. Transit times
Transit times published on this site are indicative Australian business-day estimates and are not guaranteed. Public holidays in the origin or destination state, weather and remote-area access may extend delivery.
6. Surcharges
Fuel, remote-area, signature, oversize and re-delivery surcharges may apply and are shown on your invoice. Surcharge rates are reviewed periodically.
7. Claims and liability
Loss or damage claims must be reported within seven days of delivery or expected delivery, with photos and packaging retained. Liability is limited to the amount stated in your account terms unless additional cover was purchased.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian state or territory in which the parcel was collected.
